Before Tomlinson can take on the incumbent — former CEO and Trump loyalist Sen. David Perdue — she must defeat six other challengers in the June 9 primary . . . . In this crowded primary, Tomlinson hopes her hands-on approach and years of experience will set her apart. Out of all the Democrats running, Tomlinson observed, “I’m the only candidate who has ever won an election, the only one who has ever governed.”
“I will tell you it’s not news to anybody that Washington is paralyzed by dysfunction. You see it gripped by dysfunction through corrupted process and policies, mostly related to ego and bad decisions. … I’m very adept at resolving dysfunction. Friday morning Tomlinson shared the news of her exploratory committee and said "together, we can take the roadmap to the Senate majority through Georgia and have a government that works for ALL Georgians and ALL Americans."
