Columbus, GA – Teresa Tomlinson, two-term mayor of Columbus and candidate for U.S. Senate from Georgia, released the following statement on the corruption taking place in Washington D.C.:
After issuing a strongly worded statement this morning addressing the stock trades of Senators Richard Burr, Kelly Loeffler, and David Perdue, as reported in the media last night and this morning, Tomlinson pulls on her experience actually bringing corrupt actors to justice and states: “We have to stop electing grifters. These people are unfit to serve. They don’t deserve to serve.”
Tomlinson further states: “Who we elect and who runs this government matters. If we keep electing gamers, we will just get game. Our government is there for oversight, for a structure that provides, fairness, stability and sanity in a time of crisis.”
She concludes: “I intend to replace David Perdue.”
